Rally for Change

17 cities around the nation will rally with Obama on the 5 year Anniversary of an anti- Iraq War speech given by Obama in Chicago. Let's show Washington we've had enough! The NYC rally will be held at the following:

Brooklyn Borough Hall
209 Joralemon Street
Brooklyn, NY 11209
5:30PM

see ya there!

Mossed 'em!

Randy Moss is my son's favorite football player and favorite adverb. When he was 11 playing for the Queens Falcons they finally threw a pass play to him (they usually run the ball). The corner was on him and the ball was thrown short but Tynell jumped up over his coverage and Moss-ed him. He snatched the ball out of his hands came down and ran for 15 yrds : ) Once Randy Moss went to Oakland fans heard little from him, he damn sure didn't make the highlights on Monday. As a Patriot, as skeptical as many fans were(his off field antics are less than admirable) he is the toast of the town. I watched the highlights this morning and had to share this photo with everyone. Damn Joseph, you got Moss-ed!

Hewy, Hewy!

Ok, so not having cable or Tivo or DVR has two down sides for me, no Monday night football-thanks ESPN and if I miss a show I can't digitally record it. So I miss out on my fave tv shows with the exception of the ABC shows. This network has the best media player to watch old episodes. While out getting "Fired up" with Obama on thursday I missed the season premiere of Grey's Anatomy so I watched it online. I loved the opener; great job Shonda, Private practice-not so much. Usually one company sponsors your viewing so there are about 4 commercials sprinkled during the episode. HP sponsored the episode I watched.
Now is it just me or is Hewlett Packard on the design attack!? They are using music, design and pop icons to push their laptops and printers. So who's the creative genius behind these ads you may ask, it's the San Francisco based ad agency Goodby, Silverstein and Partners. I'm not running out to buy a HP laptop-I'm a Mac girl, although I do need a new printer- but watching these HP ads makes having no Tivo to fast forward through commercials o-kay : )

Mmmmm, Thaaiiiii

Last friday I had dinner with some friends at Astoria's hot spot Wave Thai. The food is delicious and perfectly prepared- I hate over cooked seafood. Only a hop, skip and a jump away from Manhattan it's totally worth checking out. www.wavethainyc.com
Here's the birthday boy at Sparrow (Astorians favorite dive) after dinner. Ironically he's also, Mmmmm Thai, or at least that's what the boys say ; )
